After his second consecutive year playing in Cyprus’ first division, Panagiotis Panagiotou is rewarded with a contract by the newly promoted team Othellos Athienou FC. Providing stability and confidence for Enosis Neon Paralimniou during the 2022-23 season whenever the team requested his services, it was inevitable for clubs in Cyprus to show immediate interest. Panagiotou is ranked 2nd amongst his Cypriot fellow goalkeepers in appearances at the top-tier level.
Shortly after the official announcement by the club, Panagiotis stated the following to Super Sport FM radio: “I’m glad to maintain a spot in a top-tier team roster. I believe that my performances for Enosis Neon Paralimniou made me worthy of the opportunity and hopefully, we achieve the team’s targets. … I won’t promise much other than I will give my everything for the club!”
