Gleofilo’s comeback to Cyprus

Gleofilo Vlijter, Suriname international, has signed a deal with Doxa Katokopia FC. This is the second time in Gleofilo’s career that he’ll be a player of a Cypriot team, the last time being in 2019 for Aris Limassol. His achievements during his previous short stay in Cyprus (18 apps, 13 goals) didn’t go unnoticed and thus Israeli club Beitar Jerusalem bought his rights on a multi-year deal.

Scored Suriname’s first-ever CONCACAF Gold Cup goal in a 1–2 defeat to Costa Rica
13 goals in 32 appearances for Hapoel Ramat Gan (2022-23 season)

After being promoted to Cyprus’ top tier in the 2012-13 season, Doxa Katokopia FC has ever since been a very respectable and solid team in the league. Gaoussou Fofana to Anorthosis Famagusta is one of the many examples of players making notable transfers from the club in the past years. Last season Doxa moved into their renovated stadium in Peristerona, Nicosia.

The Jeito Soccer agency would like to thank Footballmix B.V. for the great cooperation throughout the process of the transfer’s chronicle. After last year’s successful deal of Roscello Vlijter, cousin of Gleofilo, to Peyia 2014, this is the second deal in synergy with the Footballmix B.V. agency. Looking forward to many more!
